The Platinum CBD Cup is a European CBD competition, held every year since 2023. Every product is scored blind by two juries: it is judged on what it is, not on its name.
Samples are anonymised, with a different code for each jury. Nobody sees the brand, the origin or the price.
Growers, sommeliers, analysts: each juror scores the look (trim, trichomes, cleanliness), the smell (intensity, quality, originality) and the taste (quality, faithfulness to the smell, persistence). The result is a ranking and a podium for each category.
Same product, two codes: no juror can link it from one jury to the other.
Consumers score at home, from a box of samples, on a simplified grid: the look, then the intensity and originality of the smell and taste. Their scores award the Public Choice Award and the labels.
Before it is tasted, every sample is anonymised: jurors only see a code, never the brand. The code is different for each jury, so a product cannot be recognised from one jury to the other.
